Planning for the 50th
Anniversary celebration of the Welcome students and teachers! As you begin preparations and projects for your individual school Fair, the North Bay Regional Science Fair Committee is organizing the 50th Annual Fair for the 2011 / 2012 school year. Your hard work and the support you receive from your teachers will make the upcoming Fair the best yet. As Chair of the Science Fair committee, I ask your assistance in distributing this newsletter to all who may be interested in participating and/or promoting this year's Fair. You may promote the science fair in your school through teacher/student involvement and by holding your own fair prior to the Regional Fair. The Regional Science Fair Committee extends our appreciation and thanks the many teachers, students, parents, volunteers and community organizations who have offered their generous support to past Regional Fairs, and to the many sponsors who, through financial contributions, make this Fair possible. New this year, we are offering "Sponsorship
Levels" to provide our sponsors with the recognition they deserve. |

Up
to five students may be selected to represent the North Bay Region at the
Canada-Wide Science Fair in Charlottetown, PEI in May 2012. It is the goal of
the North Bay Regional Science Fair Committee to fully fund the ‘Best of Fair
project and offer partial funding for each other project selected to represent
North Bay at the CWSF. It is possible that this goal may not be achieved.
Individual school boards, schools and students should be prepared to share in the expense of sending regional winners to the CWSF.
