Answers to commonly asked questions regarding our fair
What grade levels may participate in the regional fair?
The NBRSF has seven categories to accommodate students from Grades 1 through 12.
Projects are completed by students between grades 7 and 12 and are classified into five divisions according to research subject.
Students between grades 1 and 6 submit wall displays and partake in the Science On The Wall competition.
Who is eligible to participate in the regional fair?
Each North Bay and area school is encouraged to hold a school-level science fair and send winning projects on to the Regional Fair.
Students from schools that do not hold a school-level science fair are welcome to register themselves in the Regional Fair independently. We have a limit of 10 projects per school.
Home-schooled students and self-contained classrooms are also welcome to register with the Regional Fair independently.
